Today on Sapphire Farms Blog we are discussing mRNA in livestock.

Did you know since 2012, the average consumer has been exposed to this gene therapy mRNA vaccine? Not listed on labels for vaccines in livestock, yes, there are no requirements for licenses by the FDA or USDA. Any mass production of meat including Certified Organic has been exposed to mRNA. This is a fact as we were a Certified Organic farm, and you were instructed to vaccinate if you planned to sell at grocery stores.  mRNA is gene therapy. Missouri House Bill 1169 would require labeling of products that can alter your genes. It would also require companies to share information about the potential transmissibility of gene-altering interventions and asserts that fully informed consent must be given for all vaccines, gene therapies and medical interventions. I would like Virginia to consider this bill for our state.

It appears that consumers who purchase beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and goat from the grocery store or private farmers have been exposed to mRNA for approximately the last 11 years.  Chickens were expose with the vaccine sold when purchased from the hatcheries.  Pork about 5 years ago and now beef cattle around 3 years. Most disturbing is that the USDA and FDA have not shared this information with the average consumer, nor require it on labeling of products. Also, our veterinarian normally does not share this information with the farmer.

There are a few of us farmers who are listed as “different, strange, or not Real Farmers”, refuse to vaccinate with mRNA.  We find that since our livestock; cattle, hogs and chickens are born on our farm, spend their entire life on our farm and we usually do not add new livestock, we are considered a “closed” farm.  A closed farm is a term that means they do not have outside exposure to viruses and diseases that other livestock carry and could bring to the farm. We find that with proper health, biosecurity, rotational grazing, and field care we do not have the average health issue.

Black Leg, which is a huge issue in our area, did require us to vaccination, due to lack of our knowledge how this disease spreads.  Now with the knowledge of how to avoid it we have not had the need to vaccinate unless the animal is sold and requested by the owner. Some people just need that comfort. Our animals which have been vaccinated are sold. Our current animals on the farm have never been vaccinated using mRNA.

We soon discovered that mRNA transfers from mother to baby in cattle, pork and maybe chickens. As a farmer who makes meals for my family you the consumer can rest assured that our meat products will never contain mRNA.
